History Comes Alive at Shelburne Museum

Imagine if you will a camp where kids can spend a week at sea or a week in 1795! Not everyone has access to a time machine, but Shelburne Museum in collaboration with the Flynn Center for the Arts, has been providing kids with just these opportunities at History Comes Alive!, a theater-based summer camp program going into its third consecutive year.

The program is the brain-child of Joan Robinson, educator at the Flynn Center for the Performing Arts and continues with the support of Karen Petersen, Shelburne Museum’s Director of Education & Public Programs, who moonlights as various characters at the camp as well.

But see it for yourself in this superb video directed and edited by Jess Wilson from RETN.
